Pregnancy shoot

Its hard to come up creative pregnancy style shoots especially when your client wants something different but traditional. Im really loving the flowy fabrics lately with nudes, water, pregnancy, outdoors etc. I guess I didnt want to get the same shot with the same white or black fabric and a lot of of photographers. I love color so here was my idea for the fabric shots... I think I captured something a bit different, but classic feminine and colorful! Thanks to my assistant diane for the help!

We'll whipp out the ice cream, cakes, cookies, cupcakes, candy, cherries, strawberries, soda pop, juke box, countertops, stools, vintage radios nad have a blast shooting!
Its july 18th and your spot can be reserved here

Make your very own faux cakes and cupcakes!
I wanted some cute and colorful props to go with my
shoot theme that didnt spoil, so I can use them for other pinup
style shoots.
These are items you need:
Gloves (foam is super sticky)
newspaper
pie / cupcake / cake tins
Expansion foam
spackle
food color
spinkles, or faux sprinkles
cupcake papers

I found this recipe online as there are many ways to make faux cakes, this was super easy and fast for me, and came out extra cute! (yes the one cake blew up on me)

Spray the containers of tin and papers (or pie tin) with foam spray, 3/4 full. The foam expands a lot and needs 12 hours to cure. After curing you can use the spackle and mix a drop or two of food coloring, this makes a solid faux Icing. Then add your topping or sprinkles, you can get creative with clay, beads, real sprinkles, black/brown paint for chocolate sauce etc. They came out cute and finished product will be seen in the shoots photos!

:)
